Accommodation and equipment
We stay in good category hotel (2
or 3 stars) in Istanbul and Ankara, at the beginning and at the end of
the tour; Pensions and hotels comfortable in Cappadocia and other sites.
During mountain stay, we provide spacious double tents ( 1 tent for 2
persons), mattresses and all camping gear needed ( mess-tent for the
evening, kitchen tent, cooking utensils, knives and spoons, plates…).
Campsites are selected according the natural beauty of the site and the
presence of water. Clients must have their own sleeping bags personal
mountain equipment.
Crew
and staff
An English-speaking guide from
Dijon Travel team leads the group. A private minibus with a driver is
affected. A cook for campsites, and mules and mule drivers for luggage are
affected when necessary.
Food
We serve Turkish meals in
restaurants and in camps, prepared with local products. Sometimes we serve
picnic (each participant carry in his day bag) at lunch-break. During
mountain trekking we serve cookies.
Transfer and transportation
A private minibus makes all
transfers. The transportation in mountain area is made by adequate
vehicles (4X4, tractor) or by animals pack.
Equipment and clothing
A daypack is needed to carry the
items you want to use during the daytime: camera, pullover, water-bottle.Walking
boots, Open lightweight shoes or a pair of trainers, shorts/skirts,
Gloves, hat, casual clothes, rain/wind jacket, water bottle, personal
medicine-box, solar cream etc.
Level
No technical difficulties during
trekking and ascension. Walks are on good made trails. Durations of the
walks vary depending on days and tours: anyway the average is about 5/6
hours. The average of navigation in cruising tours is about 4 hours.
